I won’t deny it, the diagnosis was a shock. But it forced me to take a long look at my lifestyle and I realised that I had been neglecting my health.
After talking to my doctor, I began to make changes, starting with a treatment plan. My diet changed to include more fruit and vegetables, as well as calcium and vitamin D supplements, and I started to follow some helpful exercises I found on fragilebones.eu. I’m even working with some light weights!
And when I’m home, I use a small step ladder to reach the top shelf. It’s got a sturdy handgrip, so I don’t worry about falling.
